Dear Broadjam Member,

Whether it’s Pop-Rock, Pop-Dreampop, or Pop-Alternative, it’s everywhere and it’s here to stay. We’re giving a shout out to pop artists this week due to the massive number of pop songs flooding the Broadjam site. Sitting pretty at number one on both the Pop and Pop-Rock Top 10 Charts is Jay Wayne's song, “Unobtainable Girl.” This radio-friendly tune taps into up-to-the-minute musical themes, while bringing an edgier image to the pop scene. “Feel for You” by Corina Brouder/The Spirits of Gilbride is breathless and passionate, while spilling over with emotion and heartache. Swiss sensation Signorino TJ mixes Internet metaphors with a funky, choppy beat in his song, “Cyberlove,” for a hit that’s ahead of the field right now. Anxious to get a taste of what's hot in pop? Take a minute to sample this week's featured songs by clicking below!

Artist: Jay Wayne
Seattle, Washington
Featured Song: Unobtainable Girl

Jay Wayne is a songwriter with an extraordinary pop sensibility. His wry lyrics and memorable hooks establish him as a “hit-maker” in the pure pop-rock tradition. When Jay steps on stage, clad in leather pants, cowboy boots, a black shirt, and tall pompadour hair, his talented production techniques and passionate vocal performance will leave you begging for more! Jay has been writing songs, producing CDs, and performing in packed nightclubs for years. He has two CDs titled “Dark Blue” and “Red.” “Dark Blue” contains songs about the darker side of love, lust, longing, betrayal, and the final resignation that clears the way for the truth. “Red” is a look at love’s hotter side, featuring grooves with a 60s beat, 80s modern-rock flare, and current techno sound.

"Cool Elvis Costello vibe, in mild mode. I like the literary vibe. Lyrics are highly intelligent and a kind of social commentary. I like the horns/organ backing toward the end."
